Ankle Boot Advice
By Xeract
There aren’t many women who wouldn’t want to have a new pair of boots in their collection! If you’re going shopping in the future then you should definitely consider the ankle boot as it can provide a different look and style to regular boots. However there are certain things that you should think about, especially whether an ankle boot would go well with your collection of clothes.
In this article I'll be talking about some different things you need to think about when buying a pair of ankle boots, as well as where you can buy them from, how much they cost and what you should wear them with. Any girl knows that there is no point having an item that doesn't look good with the rest of your wardrobe, so it is vital that you buy the right pair of ankle boots that fits your fashion sense and body shape.
What to wear them with?
While it is definitely true that ankle boots are in fashion now, that hasn’t always been the case and it won't be the case for a long time into the future either. The humble ankle boots tends to go in and out of fashion quickly so you should be aware of this before buying.
While what you wear them with is a matter of style and your own fashion sense, most people agree that wearing ankle boots with a short skirt isn't a great look. Try wearing them with a long skirt for a much better look. However if you are trendsetter you might want to give it a go as there are no hard and fast rules in the fashion world! On the other hand wearing ankle boots with a long skirt isn't a great look either so you need to make sure you get it just right.
How much do they cost?
You'd think that because they are smaller than their longer boot partners, they should be less expensive. However this isn’t always the case especially if you want to buy a designer pair. For example you can get an average pair of suede ankle boot for quite cheap -- around $15-$30. On the other hand if you wanted a lace up ankle boot the price could be a lot more starting $100 and going up to well over $1000.
Another question you might be asking is why you should bother buying ankle boots over other kind such as knee-high boots. The question is a matter of taste and style, as different kinds of boots will go well in different situations as well as in different clothes. If I had to advise anything it would be to have a pair of each for different occasions but that isn't always the case if you're a hard up on cash.
Where to buy?
If you are in the UK than there are plenty of shoe shops around where you can buy ankle boot. Just walk down any high street and you'll see at least three or four that will provide you with all kinds of footwear. There isn't much point me going into detail on the exact shops because again it comes down to a matter of taste and you may not have the same taste as me. However I'm sure you can think of worse days in going to the high street and looking for the best boots you can find, so take your time and do your research!
You could also try looking on the Internet as this will at least give you a good idea of what is available, and how much you are likely to spend. Make sure you set a budget before going out otherwise you could end up spending more than you bargained for!
