If you are going to buy a new desk, whether it is for your office or for at home you want to make sure that it is stylish and well as functional. If you want to go for a stylish modern look then a glass desk could be exactly what you are looking for. People looking for desks to put in their office tend to go for a wood model, or even metal in some cases, but if you want to give your business the professional, modern and up to date look then having glass furniture can be a big plus. In fact, many people don’t even consider glass desk when they are buying new desks for the office, perhaps because they are unusual or perhaps because they have the reputation of being more expensive – or at least people think that they will be more expensive than simple wooden desks.

Of course a glass desk is a bit more delicate than wooden ones and other kinds of furniture so make sure you use someone you know you can trust to get you the desk in one piece!

If you are buying a single model then the average glass computer desk can set you back around £100 depending on what type you get. Of course this varies widely based on the quality of the model, who it is made buy, where you buy it from and how big you want it. If you are buying a computer desk make sure you know exactly what you want on it. Do you want a printer shelf? Separate keyboard shelf? Enough room for two monitors? Measure up the size you need before buying so that you don’t have to try and fit everything into a space much too small for what you need! Like I mentioned before this will be more important if you are a computer geek and have several monitors, but I’m sure we’ve all seen some ridiculously sized computer desks around so don’t be fooled into buying them – this is especially easy to do on the internet so just be aware of this when looking.

For the very cheapest desks you can get them for around £80, although these are often quite basic and will probably not have extra shelves for parts of the computer. Of course there are always some exceptions especially if there is a sale going on around you so take your time to look around and find the best deal available. It always pays to do a bit of research no matter what type of desk or furniture you are planning on buying.

If you are buying many glass desks for the office then it is always a good idea to contact the supplier and see if they can do you a deal for buying in bulk. Some suppliers will be happy too and you can save a lot of money this way. You may already have an office furniture supplier but if you don’t the internet is a great place to look, or you can try and find out who friends use and get some recommendations which is always a great way of finding a good company.

First of all there are different colours of glass you can get from a cool blue to a dark black. See through or green tinted are often available too and this really comes down to personal taste, You can get fully fledged computer workstations or just simple one panel desks that are useful for the office environment where a printer is not needed at every station.

You can also get corner glass desks which are great if you need a bit extra working space for either you or your employees who will be using it. Designers or photographers often like corner desks as it means they can have a lot of items within easy reach.
