It's no secret that nearly all women are constantly on the lookout for new, fashionable clothing that is in their price range. Long skirts is something that never goes out of fashion because if the right one is chosen for the right women it can be the perfect blend of modern yet sophisticated elegance and can make a women look glamorous on almost an occasion. In contrast to short skirts, the long skirt is often worn by women who have passed their teenage years and who are confident in their body s well as wanting to go for something a little more understated then other types of dress.

But unfortunately buying the perfect long skirts for women isn't as easy as it sounds. Each women has a different body and hence a different style that will suit her, so the only way to really know if it is going to be a success or not is to try it on. If you are going for a gift make sure you know what she likes and what size she is before buying. In this hub I'll be going through some of the more important points to think about when buying a new skirt and what to look for, as well as how much it will cost you!

This really is a completely personal choice, as it depends a lot on your body a I've mentioned before. It also has to go with your current wardrobe. Here are a few things to think about before buying that long black skirt that you've had your eye on.

1. IF you are looking for a long, narrow skirt then you should choose one that has a slight flair towards the bottom but is straight towards your hops. Otherwise it is going to be very difficult to walk at all in, let alone gracefully. You'll feel more comfortable and at ease if you are using a skirt that has a flair towards the bottom so keep that in mind when buying.

2. Long thin skirts usually are worn best by tall and thin women. If you don't have the height to wear one then you should go for a single colour top so that that you can pull off the thin skirt better.

3. The pheasant long skirt is also a bit difficult for the shorter person to wear as it is full and hence the figure of the short women is often lost.

4. Think about colour when choosing a shirt. A long denim skirt for example may not be good for all occasions, and the same goes for a black one, so shocks dependant on what you are going to be using the skirt for. With that said though a long skirt will be useful for almost all occasions you can think of so it is a very versatile piece of your wardrobe armoury!

The price of clothes vary widely and long skirts are no exception. For example if you go into a cheap shop such as Primark you may be able to pick one up for less than £10 but the quality won't be great. I also find that clothes from Primark tend to not last long and shrink a lot during the wash. If on the other hand you go for a designer long skirt then be prepared to pay considerably more, over £200 in some cases and even more for the very top dresses!

Make sure you look around the shops and try and find the skirt that best matches your appearance, figure and taste as well as the occasion that you are going to be using it for. You should also experiment with the clothes you wear the dress with as you might find that you can get many different looks out of the same skirt simply by changing what you are wearing on the top and on your feet. The choices really are endless with long skirts as they are so versatile and can be used for many different things, unlike miniskirts for example which can't really be used at most formal occasions.
